As a naturopathic doctor, my education and 20 years of experience tells me that there is an alternative to taking a drug for whatever ails you.  In other words…you do have choices… and you should at least know about them.  It is YOUR body.

In order to fight off any disease, virus or ailment, your body needs your help.  The body’s immune system is naturally strong. It fights for your health, and wins most of the time…despite the fact that our eating and drinking habits are not healthy. I have these three small suggestions for you that will put you on the right path to better health.
1.  Hydrate your body. Many conditions are often caused by or exacerbated by lack of water in the body or dehydration. Why? The brain is 83% water and the body is 75% water. When the body is dehydrated, the brain cannot function properly. If there is a lack of fluid, the brain draws the water to it, for it needs more, depleting the other organs, and impairing their functionality.
 
2. Alkalinize your body. Why? Because when the body becomes too acidic, there is cellular death due to hypoxia or lack of oxygen. How do we alkalinize? By eating fresh fruits and vegetables, or by drinking water that has higher alkalinity.
 
3. Exercise your body. We know that we need to but why should we? The body contains a lymphatic system, which is a network of vessels that parallels the circulatory system. The lymph system has no pump and therefore can only move toxins through the body via muscular contraction. Without it, the toxins will accumulate causing disease.
