Acupuncture is a 5000 year old ancient therapy that introduces an individually packaged disposable and painless acupuncture needle, microscopic at the tip, that when applied to an area of pain and stagnation creates a sensation of microscopic trauma, which will then alert the body’s defense mechanisms to send fresh blood and lymphatic fluid to the area concerned. With the restoration of qi or energy and blood flow, the area of pain where the acupuncture needles were placed relaxes and inflammation is reduced.
