The most powerful way to resolve old physical and emotional hurts might be as simple as giving yourself permission to move on. Fear may be holding you back from experiencing complete health, but what do you do after you’ve begun to let go of those fears? When you let fear go, what takes its place? Just like we spoke last week about directly addressing our fears, “On the road to health, start by letting go of fears”, try actively inviting health and well-being into your body and mind.
Often, we get stuck in physical or emotional ruts because on some level we believe that we deserve to feel bad. Take a moment and say quietly to yourself, “I deserve health, I deserve peace, I deserve joy!” How does that change the way you see your day? When really know that you deserve these things, won’t you invest more time in the work, play and people which nurture you and spend less time on the activities and relationships that are toxic to your well-being?
Aristotle defined living things in terms of their potential, not what they were, but rather what they could become. What will you become? What is your divine purpose and potential? It is time to give yourself permission to grow, to achieve your highest potential.
