Pain is NOT normal during ones monthly cycle. It has become a “normal variant”. If you or someone you know experiences excessive pain, it is indicative of some kind of imbalance. Mineral deficiencies, gastrointestinal or hormonal imbalances must all be considered; however using BCP”s IS NOT A CURE. It is a way of masking the pain, however, not without risk. Vitamin B6, pro-biotics and a variety of herbs prescribed properly can resolve these imbalances without causing side effects down the road. The monthly flow is representative of loss; the corpus luteum which was not fertilized is passing as a death or an unfertilized ovum. This may cause an unconscious sadness or depression in a woman, unless she understands what is going on in her body and allows this passage to occur respectfully; without expectation of being the warrior she has been all month long during this sensitive time.
A woman’s monthly cycle is a cleanse and must never be inhibited with barrier devices or medications. Interfering with mother nature has been known to have consequences related to fertility, health and risk or problems in decades to come.
It is OK, it is GOOD, to slow down, eat a bit more and go inward during this time; in fact, it is recommended. Continue to exercise however, It need not be the time to win a race, go for a promotion, go on a date or out dancing. Relax, drink tea, get out in the fresh air and sunshine, have an acupuncture treatment or massage and have an orgasm if at all possible. This will relax the muscles deep within the body. DON’T get on the scale or evaluate the apparent rise in abdominal curves. Love yourself more and know that in a few days, you will be on top of your game again; provided you were good to yourself!
