Did you hear the wind blowing last night? It has been powerful the last few days. How exciting, because according to the principles of TCM, Traditional Chinese Medicine – wind brings change.
In fact, every microscopic particle – even those as teensy, teensy as corona virus particles, has blown from hither to tither in the last few days. Imagine that!
Charles Darwin’s theory of biological evolution, from the 1800’s states that there will be “survival of the fittest”. I don’t think Darwin was referring to only those who go to the gym and stay in shape, but to those individuals who keep themselves well – in mind, body and heart!
We always have choices. Will we let the wind sway us toward fear, panic and feeling like victims – controlled by media and pharmaceutical industry telling us that there is no cure; or will we follow nature and allow the wind to lean us toward taking proper preventative care of ourselves NOW and always, so that we can survive this and every other plague that presents its scary existence to us during our lifetime.
I don’t follow the news. I follow nature. There is nothing that man can make that doesn’t somehow link back to nature. I choose to go straight to the source. It’s the difference between eating an apple or apple flavored pop tarts. I prefer to take natural remedies in a form that is the closest to nature that I can get without having to boil the herbs myself. That is one way I protect myself and my patients. Eating foods from the earth, as close to the source as possible. Exercising helps as well, by stimulating our lymphatic system to move densely packed pathogens through our detox pathways. Fresh air exercise is best!
And most importantly, please remember that when we are stressed or feeling anxious, our bodies are in resistance. In order to heal, we must relax and stay relaxed. Healing is inhibited when cortisol is being pumped through our adrenal system.
Rather than waste energy in panic, take actions that will bring you closer to a balanced immune system, healthy circulatory system and a calm soul.
